CHOOSE YOUR DESIGN - Prong Collar Cover
Custom prong collar cover to match every collar in our shop. Fabric or ribbon is sewn onto nylon webbing while the hook and loop fastenings along the cover secure the cover to your prong collar. No more worries about the links coming undone while walking again!
*How to choose your design* - Click here: Collar Designs. Any design shown available as an in- stock buckle collar (excludes Ready-to-Ship items) is available as a prong collar cover. Solid color covers are also available with or without personalization. For a list of solid colors, go here: 1 inch, 1.5 inch, 2 inch.
*DOES NOT INCLUDE PRONG COLLAR OR MICRO PRONGS. THIS IS A COVER ONLY FOR YOUR EXISTING PRONG COLLAR. If you need a prong collar, please contact me and I can direct you where to purchase an actual prong collar.*
Collar covers are intended to cover the prong section of the collars only (not martingale loose chain part). To measure properly, measure only the links on your prong collar, as well as the 2 end pieces. The cover will hook onto the 2 end pieces with hook and loop fastenings. Please note that when measuring properly, the measuring tape should be flush against the collar if you are measuring the circumference of the collar when it is hooked. The covers are intended to fit tightly against the collar, as shown in the measuring photo. If you have ANY questions about measuring, please contact us. These covers are custom made to fit your prong collar, so they are not able to be returned or exchanged if you send us an incorrect measurement.
- Please note that if you have a prong collar with less than 4 prongs or you have a smaller prong collar with very skinny prongs, please contact me first so we can make a customized collar.
- The hook and loop strips are cut to a certain length due to the varying widths of different prong collar manufacturers. If they are too long for your collar, they can be trimmed down to fit your collar in order to have the cover fit more tightly.
- These are hook and loop fastenings so they do hold securely and can be harder to unfasten time and again if you unhook prongs rather than slipping the collar over your dog's head. If you want to be able to unhook a prong on the end without unfastening your cover each time, measure up to that last prong (rather than the end piece) so the cover will end there and you can unhook the prong each time. See measuring photo.
- If you have a heavy gauge thickness prong collar (3mm or larger), the 1 inch cover will not completely cover the collar. A 1.5 inch or 2 inch cover would fit best.
